Ahead of the One Day international series against Pakistan, Zimbabwe suffered a huge blow as their inform opening batsman Solomon Mire ruled out the series due to injury. Mire recently played a good knock against Pakistan of 94 run in 63 balls and also playing some good innning against Australia in T20 tri series. He will be not available for Three week period due to gluteal tear.
“He will be out for at least three weeks as he concentrates on physiotherapy rehabilitation which aims to speed up healing and make sure the tear heals without tight scar tissue formation,” Anesu Mupotaringa, the team physiotherapist said.
With ruled out of Mire, Zimbabwe team are backs as they already ruled out Kyle Jervis fast bowler for the six weeks due to his right thumb fracture. Apart of this two injured players Team not included some of the experience players like Brendan Taylor, Sikandar Raza, Graeme Cremer, Sean Williams and Craig Ervine in the squad. Hamilton Masakadza will be leading the zimbabwe side in ODI cricket too.
