Today on 4th July Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan announced that Sarfraz Ahmed was named as a captain of Pakistan side.
“I take this opportunity to announce Ahmed as our Test captain in addition to one-day and Twenty20 captain,” Khan said at a function held to honour the Champions Trophy winning side. “I and Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq had decided already and I think this is the right time to declare it.”
Pakistan Wicket keeper batsman Sarfraz who has leading the pakistan side in the Champions Trophy and Won a Maiden Champions Trophy Final for the Pakistan Nation. Sarfraz who leading the pakistan team in the limited over cricket and now they also lead the pakistan test side too as Misbah ul haq already retire from the international cricket.

“I am honoured to be appointed Test captain,” Sarfraz said at the ceremony. “I will do my best to lift the team in all three formats and will not rest on Champions Trophy laurels.”
Sarfraz is become Pakistan’s 32nd Test captain, when the Asian country will lock horns against Sri Lanka in a three-match Test series later this year. This is first occasion when Pakistan will go with same captain across all three formats, since 2012.
