George Bailey leading the Hobart Hurricanes in BBL 7


For the seventh Edition of the Big Bash League competition George Bailey has been appointed as captain of Hobart Hurricanes team.

“I’m really excited about this opportunity, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve had the captaincy,” Bailey said. “There’s been a few changes – new coach, new CEO, so there’ll be a different feel around the group. It’s the one tournament Tasmania hasn’t won yet so I’m looking forward to rectifying that.”

If we look at the performance the bailey in the previous BBL edition of 2016-17 then He is the best bestman of the Hurricanes line up as he scored 247 run in the eight inning with a average of 49.40 but their franchise not performance well as they ended as seventh spot in the eight team competition.

Paine Will be play as a vice captain role. He said “I’m really excited by the opportunity to work with George as vice-captain this season. I think our leadership styles will work well together,”

Hurricanes will be playing their first game of the BBL 7 edition against Melbourne Renegades on 21st December at Bellerive Oval.
