Black caps All rounder Corey Anderson and Middle Order Batsman Grant Elliott have been recalled for New Zealand Teams for upcoming Twenty20 Series against Srilanka. Anderson who was recently played from new Zealand national side in England’s tour in May 2015 and after then dropped. Few times ago they played some good innings from the Northern Knights and it forced team management and selectors to give a chance before the 2016 World T20 in March and April in India.
Corey Anderson looking to get some performance as a batsman for the upcoming 20-20 series against srilanka in 2016 year.
He said, “It’s been a long process for Corey. But we’ve been happy with his recent progress and the fact he’s managed to string a few games together for the Knights. We’ve got a plan in place for when we hope to have Corey back bowling. He’s getting closer, but we’ll be taking a precautionary approach.”
“We’ve seen how dynamic a batsmen he is and can threaten any bowling attack in the world. It’ll be great to have him back in the mix,” Hesson added.
Grant Elliott who is also returning to black caps from the arm injury. Their Coach Mentioned that Elliott Inclusion in team will surely help their team in tensed situtations because he many times taken their teams from the bad position. He said, “We’re also looking forward to having Grant back with us after recovering from the from his arm injury. He brings a lot to the squad and obviously has experience in pressure moments, which is key to batting in the middle order in Twenty20.”
Srilanka tour of New Zealand First T20 International Match will be played from teh 7th January at Bay Oval and second and final T20 Match is schedule to take played on 10th January 2016 at Eden Park. Before the ICC World Twenty20 championship in India this T20 are always help to both side ahead of bigger tournament.
He said, “These will be our first Twenty20s of the summer and with the World Cup just around the corner these are two of the five games that the players can use to push their case for selection, but also more importantly win games for New Zealand. It’s a side with a good balance of talent and experience.”
