2023 men’s hockey world cup to be Host by India

FIH – International Hockey Federation have confirm venue for the Next Men’s World cup tournament of 2023. Upcoming 15th Edition of Hockey world cup will be host by India for the successive time as they recently hosted 2018 tournament too. As per Schedule HWC 2023 to be played between 13-29 January.

Apart of that FIH Member voted for 2022 Women’s hockey world cup hosts as Spain and Netherlands.

“FIH has received excellent bids to host these prestigious events. It was therefore a difficult choice to make. Since the primary mission of FIH is to grow the sport worldwide – which of course requires to make investments, the income-generation potential of each bid has played an important role in the decision,” said FIH CEO Thierry Weil.

India who hosted the Hockey world cup in 1982, 2010, 2018 and now in 2023. Total 16 teams from the 5 Confederations will be compete in the 2023 hockey world cup.
