Stephen Van Huizen Head coach of Malaysia hockey team think that upcoming Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey tournament will be a best Warm up and Practice for the team ahead of the Sea games at Kuala Lumpur 2017.
He also mentioned that Team have a very tight schedule ahead of the Kuala Lumpur 2017 Sea games August Month. Because after this Sultan Azlan Shah cup which end on may team have to played in the World League Hockey tournament in London on June 2017.
“It is a good competition to maintain the momentum of the players before the the SEA Games begin.
“I am confident that with rigorous preparation, we will be able to defend the gold medal from the last edition,” he said after a receiving a visit from Malaysia’s Chef-de-Mission of the 2017 SEA Games, Datuk Marina Chin at the men’s hockey training ground here, Friday.
2017 Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament will be starts from the 29th April and played till 6th May and this surely be a good platform to show their talent as apart of Malaysia some of the big Hockey teams like Australia, New Zealand, England, Japan and Korea also participate in this sultan Azlan Shah cup.
